This man is my pillar. He carries the weight of two people – his and mine, while caring for the sick me. I don’t know how he does it, how he gets through it or why he even perseveres the way he does. Not many realize the true weight “in sickness and health” carry, because nobody anticipates illness.
He doesn’t get much sleep, he works, he cooks and cleans, he carries me back and forth or up and down, he does the groceries, runs the errands, and everything in between. He is the support beam of this family, carrying all of the weight.
True love shows it’s face during the worst days of your life. Love is not roses and flowers. It’s the commitment you make by choice to a person. There is no better demonstration than this man, when it comes to love.
