We are on our way to see our doctor in DC. She is a good doctor. She worked for famous Dr. Jones before and still meets with him once a month. In case you don’t know who Dr. Charles Ray Jones is, let me give you a little background. He is a legend in the Lyme community. Although his practice is in Connecticut, he treats children with Lyme disease from all around. He has been the biggest target of Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) for not following their diagnosis and treatment guidelines. Working with a doctor, who has worked with Dr. Jones is a big deal. She is my daughter’s doctor as well.
Right now we are on our way to see her. Although we have not completed all of our testing, she will have a close diagnosis for my baby. Although I don’t think my son is sick. Lyme is a tricky infection, it can do a pretty good job hiding in your body without any symptoms. I’m nervous. I’m scared. I’ve made my peace with my illness. It is harder to see my children sick as a result. I am already struggling with my daughter’s bartonella and other secondary infections. I don’t know, if I have the strength to deal with the idea of my son being sick too. See my daughter is 7 and she understands certain things better. My son is too young to understand. It is good loa of medications and supplements, he would have to take.
Anyhow, I don’t want to think about it anymore. I’m just crossing my fingers. So friends and family, please pray for us. Wish us luck!
